Working in a broad range of art media, Jesse Dortzbach explores a range of conceptual ideas. His paintings include works in oil, gouache, acrylic, and watercolor. His sculptures include works made from recycled materials, cast newspaper pulp and toilet paper, terracotta, wood, plaster, and Plasticine. His drawings include works in graphite, ink, and marker. All of the photographs in this portfolio were taken using an iPhone 5s.

Jesse Dortzbach has been writing since his early childhood. This collection of writing includes poems and essays—some of which have been published in writer blogs and literary journals. He has a forthcoming book, a memoir, entitled The Altar of Mental Illness.
